the addon is about champions leagues.

See a live example here:
http://leagues.gr/football-game (this is the normal version where there are 5 leagues : 1st division, 2nd division e.t.c)
After a predefined period of matchdays, users are promoted/demoted between divisions.

Now about the champions leagues:

The 16 top users of 1st division, are qualified to participate on champions leagues of the next season.

PS. I m not sure I understand your point about importing players from the UK Leagues. The whole design of the game is based on users that will participate in game. No actual players of any league need to be imported. This is not an addon where you enter info about teams and players, stats and standings.
This is a game for your joomla users.
